After participating number of years in Migration Matters Festival, Howl was helping to set up the role of guest curator scheme and become the first recipient from 2020. As the guest curator, Howl has a space to articulate his creative thoughts beyond his own performance practices.

Working closely with the festival team, Howl took his point of view as migrant art worker and current issues around migration, diaspora, foreign student refugee status and formulated a mixed program of performances, workshops, talks in 2020’s festival.

In 2020 Migration Matters Festival, Howl published his statement for the program he worked on, also as the reflection of being a migrant art worker in the pandemic, with the title We are human beings before we become art makers (Read more here).
